Minutes of CONA Meeting

Business Meeting

1. The minutes from the June 17, 2009 meeting were approved.
2. David Walter reported treasury balances as follows: Checking: $397.13 and Savings: $7,866.83. David reported that Sycamore Knolls had sent in a check for membership dues of $30.00.
3. The RNNC will be held in Decatur, IL from September 17 to September 19. It will cost approximately $350 per person to attend, with a $50 allowance for travel. There is less than $200 left in the grant funds from the City of Bloomington that could be applied for to help pay the cost if a CONA delegation wants to go. It will take Board approval to fund the trip and there are not enough members in attendance tonight, so it will be tabled to the August meeting.
4. The CONA survey for Bloomington Hospital is available for people to fill out at www.conaonline.org and the results will be tabulated in September after Labor Day. About 20 people have filled out the survey.
5. Under neighborhood news, the following is going on:
   1. People are taking note of the 45-46 By Pass project and are starting to protest it.
   2. Community Development Block Grants have been funded early this year.
   3. B-Line Phase II pubic hearings will be held in July.
   4. The City Council is reviewing the Unified Development Ordinance changes this month.
   5. The Redevelopment Commission will consider expansion of the Adams Crossing TIF district to include the hospital and surrounding properties. If this is approved, it will take City Council action this fall.
   6. Maple Heights will have an ice cream social.
