  3. The Board discussed sending delegates to the RNNC in Decatur, IL from September 17 to September 19. Jane Spearman, Ann Kreilkamp and Sarah Ryterband want to go as CONA delegates. David Walter made a motion that CONA set aside a budget of $1000 from to pay for the transportation, registration and housing for the three delegates. Greg Alexander seconded the motion and the motion passed by voice vote.
  4. The September Board meeting is the time to elect representatives to the CONA Executive Committee. The Executive Committee meets on the Second Wednesday of the month to consider requests for expenditures of funds and to set the Board Agenda for the next meeting. Nominees include Molly O'Donnell, David Walter, Jane Spearman, Greg Alexander and Kathy Holland. Nominations will be open until 10 days before the September meeting.
  5. The CONA survey for Bloomington Hospital is available for people to fill out at www.conaonline.org and the results will be tabulated in September after Labor Day. About 200 people have filled out the survey.
  6. The Board discussed the proposed 45-46 By-pass project. Green Acres Neighborhood Association will be most affected by the project. David Walter out lined the history of the project and some of the issues with proposed widening of the street to four lanes. The road is not really a by-pass anymore with development on both ends and both sides of the street. If speeds were lowered and the by-pass named as a city street, it would become just another road in the city.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM.
