Minutes of CONA Meeting

Business Meeting

1. The minutes from the August 19, 2009 meeting were approved.
2. David Walter reported treasury balances as follows: Checking: $427.13 and Savings: $7,942.99. A reimbursement of $76.02 was received from the City of Bloomington for the Jim Diers presentation and deposited in the saving account.
3. The Board asked about a summary of funds and how much was available for CONA use and how much was being held for the member neighborhood associations. David said he would see about getting a report ready for next month's Board meeting.
4. The September Board meeting is the time to elect representatives to the CONA Executive Committee. The Executive Committee meets on the Second Wednesday of the month to consider requests for expenditures of funds and to set the Board Agenda for the next meeting. Nominees include Molly O'Donnell, David Walter, Jane Spearman, Greg Alexander and Kathie Holland. Richard Carr made a motion to accept the slate of candidates and Jerry Stasny seconded the motion. The motion passed on a voice vote.
5. Greg Alexander reported that the CONA survey for Bloomington Hospital is completed and results are available at www.conaonline.org.
6. Molly O'Donnell said that Eastside Neighborhood Association's block party will be held in October.
7. Jerry Stasny reported that the 10th Street traffic study will be discussed. The recent death of a student crossing Fee Lane has added to the need to come up with a better solution.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM.
