Business Meeting
- The minutes from the January 20, 2010 meeting were approved.
- David Walter reported treasury balances as follows: Checking: $107.54
and Savings: $7,943.32. Ann Kreilkamp requested reimbursement in the
amount of $161.60 for travel and registration fees at the RNNC. David
reported that the post office box fee was $28.00 and that it would be
necessary to file with the Secretary of State soon. Richard Carr made
a motion to accept the treasurer's report and pay the expenses. Bill
Milroy seconded the motion and the motion passed.
- The CONA web site needs updating - several of the neighborhood
contacts and the content of the web site are out of date. David Walter
said he obtained the City of Bloomington's list of neighborhood
contacts and is working on correcting the content of the web pages.
Kathy Holland said she would work on the list of contacts. Greg
Alexander has been hosting the web site on his computers and is
willing to make changes to the web site.
- The Board discussed the options for sponsoring a speaker for the
Blooming Neighborhood Celebration in June. Several names of potential
speakers were discussed. David will contact the speakers to see if
they will be available for this time period and what the cost might be
to bring them to Bloomington for the weekend. He will report back at
the next month's meeting.
- Suggestions for Program speakers include having someone from the
Monroe County Assessor's office to talk about property tax caps. There
was discussion about having candidates running for office attend CONA
meetings this year, but there is a concern about having equal
representation for each political party and if it is better to let the
League of Women Voters handle this. It was also suggested that our
representative to the State House and Senate could be contacted once
the legislative session is over this sping.
There being no more business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM
